Question 1

My scan is stuck or still pending

Accepted Answer

It's normal for a scan to take a little while. On the web the results page updates on its own when it finishes. On mobile the card shows up as soon as it's identified, and the value fills in right after. You can leave the app while you wait. Price scan says "Pricing..."? On mobile, a price scan shows "Fetching recent sales. This can take a moment." while it looks up the value. That's normal. Give it a moment before trying again. ![A mobile price scan waiting on its value, with the message Fetching recent sales. Question 2

I got no price or no comps

Accepted Answer

This usually means there aren't enough recent sales of that exact card yet, or the card's details aren't fully filled in. Add the parallel, serial number, card number, or autograph info, then choose Check price again. Very new releases may simply need more time to build up sales. A price check can end with a few different messages: "No recent comparable sales found." The check worked, but the card trades too rarely right now. Adding details, as above, gives it the best chance next time. "Pricing isn't available for this card yet." The card needs more details before it can be priced. Edit the c

Question 3

I hit my monthly limit

Accepted Answer

Your plan includes two monthly allowances: Card scans (used when you scan a card, including a price scan) and Research credits (used for every price check, like Check price, bulk price checks, and price searches). Both reset on the 1st of each month, and unused ones don't roll over. If you've run out, you can wait for the reset or upgrade. Premium and Pro both raise your limits. To see how many Research credits you have left on the web, open Collect and select Price checks at the top of the page. Your profile also shows your scans and research left, with the reset date. Your existing listings aren't affected.

Question 5

The app says I need to update

Accepted Answer

The app checks its version when it opens. You'll only see a message if your version is behind: Update Available means a newer version is out and we recommend it. Tap Later to keep using the app. Update Required means your version is too old to keep working, so you need to update to continue. Tap Update (or Update Now ) to open the App Store or Google Play and install the latest version. The website updates on its own; just refresh the page if something looks off.

Question 6

The card was identified incorrectly. How do I fix it?

Accepted Answer

Most cards are identified correctly, but if something's off you can fix it. On the web , open the card in Collect . Select any detail (like card number or parallel) to change just that one, or open the ... menu at the top right of the card and choose Edit all details . In the mobile app , open the card, tap the more actions menu, and choose Edit Details . You can also re scan with a clear, well lit photo where the card fills the frame. When you change a card's grade or details, HobbyMonitor asks whether to Check price? so the value matches the corrected card. ![The card menu in Collect with Ed
